Carved from a single piece, these wood animals are beautifully polished and carefully crafted. As indigenous hard woods become increasingly hard to find, Mbare has shifted their focus now to developing products made from non-indigenous, non-endangered wood, like the Jacaranda wood.
The Guinea is one of the few species of birds where the male and female both act and look exactly alike, and it can be difficult if not impossible to tell them apart. The guineas were believed to unable to fly for some time, but it was later discovered that they are actually capable of flying long distances, and that they are very territorial, and choose to run most of the time to protect that territory.
