All of our items are uniquely created by artisans and craftspeople in Zimbabwe, Kenya and South Africa. Borrowing our name from the famous Mbare Musika marketplace in Harare, we take pleasure in bringing African creativity—including Shona stone sculpture, non-endangered wood carvings, painted tin animals, Weya art, and recycled bottle cap art—to your home. Mbare, Ltd. also imports exquisite animal glassware and napkin rings from Makoulpa (South Africa), as well as the works of three renowned independent designers—Louise Stobart (Birdwoods metal sculptures), Lorraine Marincowitz (Raku Pottery), and Ros Byrne (Kudhinda fabrics and Ruwa pottery).
