The metal shaving animals and bottletop products are two lines that are made almost entirely of recycled materials. Because most sodas in Zimbabwe are still sold in glass bottles, bottletops are abundant and litter the streets. Richard Robert and other artists use this potential waste to create colorful totes and coasters that are functional and great for the planet! Amos Guta, a former blacksmith, developed the idea for recycled metal shaving animals, and he continues to create them now. Both of these lines are well-loved by our customers. This section also includes small birds created from found seedpods (in Zimbabwe) and Peltrina products, which are made in Uruguay of recycled metals (this is our only non-African product, but well worth having a look at!).
